5-13-24
8 months since Jody’s passing.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day. All week I’ve been worried about my daughter. This is her first year without Mom.
She made it. Though I had a very hard time. Lots of tears shed by both of us. It was a very long day by myself. I stayed in touch with Ashlee.
She did keep up the yearly tradition of going out to First Watch with her daughters, then going shopping.
Last Mother’s Day, Jody was in a wheelchair. She took Jody out to breakfast, then took her to countryside mall and bought a couple new tops for her.
Lot’s of FIRSTS. Life is tough. After 39 years of being together, everyday is a struggle. Trying to stay strong as possible.
5-27-24 Memorial Day (like to May ’23 updates)
One year ago today, Jody fell backwards and hit her had. She had to go to the emergency room. I felt awful as I left her and walked about 10 feet in front of her inside the house.
She had just gotten done doing a nice walk outside with her walker. This was the last time she ever walked outside 🙁
6-1-24 – Hard to believe I’ve been with Bert’s Harley-Davidson now for a year. So blessed they hired me on to help put together a bodyshop.
I start grief counseling 6-4 (Tuesday). I tried to make it on my own, but struggle. I’m sure this will help some.
9-4-24 – 9 months since Jody passed (Labor Day)
