Fuel Spill – Another Challenging Spot Job!

Another challenging spot job repair. This damage was caused by a fuel spill. The customer didn’t know it had happened until they saw the tank the next day.
This custom paint job had been done by a friend and not us so we had to figure out all the colors
To get things going, we needed to strip that area and 2k prime it.

The base had some gold flake over the black and I had to figure out the color under the candy. It also had somesort of an effect going on in the candy red. Originally, the outline was done ‘over’ the clear but of course by the time we were done this is under the clear. I had to match the color of the pinstripe and make it look like it was handstriped.

Overall I think it came out great!
